Dissidents’ “Ripples” EP was recorded in March 2018 at Western Connecticut State University’s recording studio. We were invited to come out and demo the studio during the college’s second annual Audio Day, a festival wherein they showcase the school’s facilities and host performances and presentations by production professionals, all open to the public. We brought two pieces to record, both written by our cellist (who is a WCSU alum). The session was overseen by Sheldon Steiger and led by then-senior production student Adam Howard, with manual assistance by several WCSU production majors. Adam went on to mix and master the entire EP on his own.
